Esta muestra consiste en 10 obras interactivas diferentes que generan una respuesta visual y sonora en relación al ruido del ambiente y a la interacción sonora de los visitantes.

This exhibition consists of 10 different interactive works that generate visual and audible response in relation to background noise and sound interaction of visitors.

Cada una de estas obras está compuesta por un microcomputador Raspberry-Pi que se adjunta detrás de los monitores de 40 pulgadas, cada uno de estos computadores tiene un micrófono y un par de audífonos. Cada uno de estos computadores procesa un programa en tiempo real realizado por el artista en C++ en openframeworks que genera sonidos y visuales en dependencia a los estímulos sonoros.

Each of these works is comprised of a Raspberry Pi microcomputer-enclosed behind a 40-inch monitors, each of these computers have a microphone and a headphone. Each one of these microcomputers processes a program in real time programmed in C ++ with openframeworks which generates sounds and visual dependence to sound stimuli.

Estas obras se toman la totalidad del espacio de la galería produciendo una instalación interactiva inmersiva y lúdica que interactúa en tiempo real con los sonidos emitidos por los espectadores.

The entire space of the gallery is taken by these works, to produce an immersive and playful interactive installation that interacts in real time with the sounds of the spectators.

Los sistemasAutopoiéticos o (autopoieticSystems) son máquinas (software + hardware) multimedia de interacción y retroalimentación que generan una respuesta auditiva y visual en relación directa a los estímulos visuales y auditivos del entorno. Este cuerpo de obras nace de una serie de preocupaciones en relación a la sincronía entre lo sonoro y lo visual, que datan desde mis estudios en Paris en el Centro de Creación Musical Iannis Xenakis, en los años 2002 y 2003. Estas obras logran resolver de una manera orgánica una serie de inquietudes que han marcado mi trayectoria y desarrollo como artista visual y como músico. Estos sistemas toman como referente una serie de planteamientos conceptuales de las vanguardias artísticas del siglo recién pasado tanto visuales como musicales y plantean una serie de cuestionamientos en relación a la obra de arte, cuestionando el concepto mismo de lo que es una obra al convertir el proceso mismo en la obra.

The autopoieticSystems are multimedia interaction and retro-feeding machines (software+hardware) that generate an audio and visual response in direct relation to visual and auditory stimuli from the environment. This body of works emerges in response to a series of concerns in connection with the synchrony between the sonic and the visual dating from my studies in Paris during 2002/2003 at CCMIX Centre de Création Musicale Iannis Xenakis. These works provide an organic solution to a series of questionings that have marked my trajectory as a visual artist and musician. These systems have as referent a series of conceptual proposals by visual and musical avant-garde movements of the past century and raise a series of issues in connection to the work of art, questioning the very notion of what a work of art is by converting the process of making itself into the work.

La obra solo existe en el estar interactuando con el medio, o en términos autopoiéticos, en el acoplamiento estructural del sistema con su ambiente.

In this sense, the work only exists during its interaction with the environment or, to put it in autopoietic terms, in the course of the structural coupling of the system and its environment.

(*) Autopoiesis:
                  (de Auto: a sí mismo; y Poiesis: (griego, creación, fabricación, construcción) Literalmente, autopoiesis significa auto-organización. Concepto que nace en la biología de la mano de los chilenos Humberto Maturana y Francisco Varela (1973), y que designa un proceso mediante el cual un sistema (por ejemplo, una célula, un ser vivo o una organización) se genera a sí mismo a través de la interacción con su medio. Un sistema autopoiético es operacionalmente cerrado y determinado estructuralmente. Característica definitoria de los seres vivos.
Según Maturana y Varela son autopoiéticos los sistemas que presentan una red de procesos u operaciones (que lo define como tal y lo hace distinguible de los demás sistemas), y que pueden crear o destruir elementos del mismo sistema, como respuesta a las perturbaciones del medio. Aunque el sistema cambie estructuralmente, dicha red permanece invariante durante toda su existencia, manteniendo la identidad de este. los seres vivos son sistemas autopoiéticos y que están vivos solo mientras están en autopoiesis.

Concept that comes from the field of biology through the work of Humberto Maturana and Francisco Varela (1973) and which designates a process by means of which a system (for example a cell, a living being or an organization) generates itself through its interaction with its environment.
